Why: Low levels of thiamine (Vitamin B1). Cats fed low-thiamine diets over time can develop deficiency: early signs include decreased appetite, salivation, vomiting, and weight loss; advanced cases can show neck ventroflexion, wobbly walking, and seizures. One illness was reported; the cat recovered with treatment. FDA issued a safety advisory on March 13, 2026. The company enacted a stop sale of all Quest products while reformulating.
